How soil decompaction works
This animation shows what happens below ground: the GEOMAC soil-decompaction machine inserts a hollow lance into the soil, releases a short burst of compressed air at 6 to 8 bar at depth and breaks open compacted and restrictive layers. Oxygen - and, if required, nutrients - reach the root zone directly.

The four steps in the animation
The animation follows one soil-decompaction cycle from start to finish. Prefer to read rather than watch? The same explanation is set out below.
The hollow lance goes about 60 cm into the soil, down to the restrictive layer that is holding the roots back.
A short, powerful burst of compressed air at 6 to 8 bar follows the natural weak spots and pushes the soil particles apart.
A fine network of fissures forms. Air and water can move through the soil again, while the roots stay intact.
The material vessel sends soil improvers or nutrients into the freshly created fissures in the same movement.
